Does it charge per certificate?

No. There are no per-certificate fees and nothing is locked after signing. Certification bodies such as NICEIC charge per certificate on their online systems; this tool is a flat, low-cost alternative for producing the report paperwork itself.

Does the report follow BS 7671:2022?

Yes. The field set follows the BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 model forms: report sections A–K, supply characteristics, particulars, coded observations, the condition report inspection schedule for residential and similar premises with up to 100 A supply, and the schedule of circuit details and test results.

Does it work offline?

Yes. It is a PWA: after the first visit it installs into your browser or phone home screen and every function — including PDF generation — runs without a connection. Reports are saved only on your device.

Where is my data stored?

Only in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. Nothing is uploaded to any server. You can export the whole archive as a JSON file to back it up or move devices.

Who can issue an EICR?

A skilled person competent in electrical inspection and testing — typically a qualified electrician. This tool produces the paperwork; the inspector named on the certificate remains responsible for the inspection, the results and the classification codes.

Is this a certified NICEIC report?

It is the paperwork, not the scheme. The PDF follows the BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 model forms so a competent inspector can issue it as the report of record. Your name, position and registration body go in Section G — you remain responsible for the inspection and the codes. If you also need Building Control notification for notifiable work, that is a separate process with your scheme provider.

Why no per-certificate pricing?

Certification software that charges per certificate locks your completed work behind a payment and gets expensive fast — electricians report per-certificate charges from scheme online systems of around £1–£2 per finalised certificate.
